Tips & Resources
"Insulating Glass" is comprised of two panes of glass with a sealed air space between, and can be found in windows or doors. This sealed air space makes the glass more energy-efficient. You'll see a label indicating U-Factor on any new glass with a number from 0.2-1.2; the lower the number the better its insulating properties. It's important to consider the long-term effectiveness of your windows on your entire home's energy efficiency when determining cost for a new construction or remodel.
